Elf 'n' Park at Winnipeg Richardson International
December 20, 2012
Visitors will encounter a unique experience this holiday season when parking at the airport parkade or economy parking lots.
In an effort to spread holiday cheer and provide a helping hand to customers during the busy holiday travel season, Winnipeg Airports Authority is excited to introduce Elf ’n’ Park at the community’s airport.
Energetic youth volunteers from a variety of schools and community organizations will be sporting elf hats and baggage carts with jingle-bells to create a joyful atmosphere at the airport. Elves will assist visitors with the loading and unloading of luggage, and will help wheel baggage carts to and from vehicles.
Elves will be stationed at several locations around the airport campus: near the baggage carousels, in the arrivals hall on the main floor of the terminal, in the parkade and economy parking lots, and at both arrivals and departures curbs.
Several youth groups have signed up to volunteer for Elf ‘n’ Park, including Westwood Collegiate (pictured above), Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, R.B. Russell Vocational High School, and Sterling Mennonite Fellowship Church Youth Group.
Elf ‘n’ Park will run from 9:00am to 9:00pm Wednesday, December 19 to Sunday, December 23.
