Advance Voting Available at the Airport

Voting is the backbone of the democratic system locally, provincially, and nationally. Exercising this right is important to many travellers, but your travel schedule may prevent you from participating in the Manitoba provincial vote on election day, April 19.

Every vote counts and we want to be sure that yours does too. For your convenience, there will be an advance voting station located within the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. You’ll be able to find it in the north end of our Departures Hall – just look for the James Armstrong Richardson Statue on the second floor of the terminal.

Visit the booth from April 9 to 16 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m (12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday) to cast your ballot and be heard.

Am I eligible to vote?

In order to vote, you must be:

  • a Canadian citizen;
  • at least 18 years of age on election day; and
  • a resident of Manitoba for at least six months before election day.

Voters are also required to show one piece of government-issued photo identification such as a driver's license, or two other documents with their name.
