The Winnipeg Airports Authority Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Firefighters' Burn Fund takes place every summer at Bridges Golf Course, with a full roster of sponsors and golfers in attendance.
On June 16, 2010, we were fortunate to have excellent weather - a high of +29 and lots of sun - plus a great turnout for yet another successful year of golf and fundraising. Our guest speaker this year, Barbara-Anne Hodge - occupational therapist with Health Sciences Centre - provided us with a great speach, highlighting the important things the Firefighters' Burn Fund does for burn victims here in Manitoba and across the country.
At the end of the day, a cheque for $22,500 was presented to the Firefighters' Burn Fund. Thank you to all of our sponsors for your generosity and to our friends who came out to golf. We look forward to seeing you all again next summer.
