Winnipeg Airports Authority shares successful 2016 with the community

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – April 26, 2017 – Today Winnipeg Airports Authority updated the community on an incredible 2016 at its Annual Public Meeting.

Held in the terminal building for the first time, WAA provided highlights of a record-breaking 2016 and a look at what’s next for Winnipeg's airport.

"We are committed to listening to travellers and adapting to their needs to ensure we are delivering world-class service to our customers," said Barry Rempel, WAA President and CEO. "Together with our airport campus partners we are leading transportation innovation, and will continue to grow and develop our airport for the benefit of our community."

Some of the 2016 highlights include nine new direct destinations from Winnipeg, new healthy food and beverage options in the terminal, being recognized as one of Manitoba’s Top 25 Employers for the sixth year in a row, and a 3rd place Airport Service Quality Award for customer service.
