Winnipeg Airports Authority Welcomes Seasonal Service from Winnipeg to Palm Springs

WINNIPEG – July 20, 2011 - Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. (WAA) welcomes twice-weekly direct service from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Palm Springs, California via WestJet beginning December 15, 2011.
Operating on Thursdays and Sundays, direct service from Winnipeg to Palm Springs will be available to travellers from December 15, 2011 to April 26, 2012.
“We’re pleased to see the addition of a new non-stop flight to a sun destination for the 2011-2012 season,” said Barry Rempel, President & CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority. “Demand for direct service to popular destinations such as Palm Springs is reflected in today’s announcement.”
