The Travellers’ Aid kiosk is located at the first entrance on Departures Level 2. Travellers requiring additional assistance for airline check-in, or visitors to the terminal building, may be dropped off and picked up at this location. There is ample accessible drop off space immediately in front of this door (Level 2, Door 1).
After the traveller and their bags have been dropped off inside the Travellers’ Aid waiting area, the driver may park in the parkade. Meanwhile, an attendant at the Travellers’ Aid kiosk will facilitate special assistance directly from your airline. If requested, an airline representative will respond to the Travellers’ Aid kiosk.
This kiosk is staffed by friendly Goldwing Ambassador volunteers. The area features approachable flight information screens and a TTY equipped telephone. Wheelchairs are also available at this kiosk.
If an attendant is not present at the Travellers’ Aid station upon arrival, a telephone with a direct line to the Information Centre is available for visitors to communicate their need for assistance.
The Travellers’ Aid Kiosk is ideal for (but not restricted to) the following guests:
- Minors travelling without parents/guardians
- Rendez-vous area for large parties and families
- Passengers travelling with wheelchairs, walkers, baby seats, awkward equipment, etc.
- First time visitors to the new Winnipeg Richardson International Airport
Although the Travellers’ Aid kiosk is located on Departures Level 2, some arriving travellers may find this location and its services valuable in meeting their needs for pick-up. Alternately, there are designated accessible stalls on Arrivals Level 1, in the public pick-up lanes close to the parkade.
