Winnipeg Airports Authority proudly supports community initiatives through financial and in-kind contributions, as well as employee participation. WAA has partnered with numerous organizations, including Winnipeg Harvest, United Way, Firefighters' Burn Fund and Habitat for Humanity.



On Friday, April 19, Winnipeg Airports Authority firefighters hosted Flying with Stars - a fundraiser in support of STARS, the charitable, non-profit helicopter air ambulance organization that provides rapid and specialized emergency medical care and transportation for critically ill and injured patients.

This year, Winnipeg Airports Authority has been nominated for two awards by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada for community service and for travelers experience.

We are honoured to be a part of the finalists of the 2012 Canadian Tourism Awards as these awards speak to innovation, leadership and superior tourism experiences in Canada. We will keep you posted as to the results.
