Beijing Terminal 3!

Is it already Wednesday?

Here I sit, everyone, blogging with two pairs of socks on and wearing my scarf at my desk! Coldest day yet I think! Seeing all of these people leaving on their warm vacations, you start to feel a little bit jealous! But what would Winnipeggers talk about if we couldn’t shake our heads at the weather? It definetely creates a sense of camaraderie. Same feeling I get here at the airport- we’re all working together to get that new terminal up and to make it the best that it can be.

Speaking of the best that you can be, the 2008 Olympics are coming up in Beijing. In preparation for that, Terminal 3 at Beijing International Airport is set to open in the very near future- how exciting! It is definetely one of the largest (if not the largest) airport projects out there. I found some pictures and posted them below. I also included a photo from their current terminal of some banners promoting the upcoming games including their cartoon Olympic mascots, which for a marketing girl, is lots of fun to see. Enjoy!

PS: If you want to see more of the official ’mascots’ of the 2008 Olympics, check this video out: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/olympics/2007-08/06/content_6014136.htm
