Five things you need to know before heading to the CAA Summer Drive-In Series

You’ve purchased your car pass, your vehicle has been loaded up and you’re ready for a night out at the movies. But before arriving at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport for the CAA Summer Drive-In Series, there are a few things you need to know.

COVID-19 Protocols:
Any movie goer who is feeling sick or has any symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home even if they sit in a vehicle at all times.

In order to minimize contact between spectators and the drive-in theatre’s staff, there will be no car passes sold on-site. Please purchase your car pass online in advance by visiting Only those who live together may occupy the same vehicle.

Once you’re at the drive-in theatre, physical distancing must be observed at all times. Stay two metres away from others when accessing the washrooms. The doors and trunks to your vehicle must remain closed during the movie, however, you may open your windows and sunroof. If you choose to watch the movie from outside of your vehicle, you can sit next to it on the driver’s side as long as the windows of the neighbouring vehicle are closed. Sitting in the box of your truck is not permitted.

Due to health regulations, pets are not allowed at the drive-in theatre. Government certified service animals are welcome with proper documentation.
