Old Northwest Aircrafts
February 7, 2008
Well hello there blog readers!
I am feeling a little short on words today- shocking, I know! I really don’t have a lot of news to tell, since yesterday was pretty uneventful as I was focusing on fighting off my cold. So far it looks like I’m winning- I haven’t coughed as much today as I did yesterday, so maybe I’m on the mend. Neocitron is my drink of choice right now!
And before I get to today’s post: Happy Birthday to my Mommy!
Today’s post is part III of the Northwest 80th Anniversary stuff I have been posting this week. Again, a big thanks to the Western Canada Aviation Museum for letting us scan in these amazing photos. I won’t pretend I know what date these pictures were taken or what kind of aircrafts they are, but what I can say is that they are really cool and that it is so interesting to me that these pictures were taken at what was then Winnipeg International Airport, and what is now Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. It’s really amazing to me that I could go stand in the same place that these guys below are standing, even though it was all that time ago. Plus the planes certainly look a lot different now than they did then! Enjoy!
