Beautiful Airport Reunion
December 1, 2008
Good morning everyone!
I hope you all had great weekends- mine was fantastic! After a good friend’s birthday party on Friday night, I spent the rest of my weekend getting into the holiday spirit. I put up my tree last night with the help of some friends, and got all of my presents wrapped. I can’t believe it’s December already! This year has flown by.
If you have visited Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport recently, you will see that the terminal building is also in the holiday spirit! Not only are we all decorated for the season, but we also have the pleasure of hosting a bunch of family reunions around this holiday time! I love to walk through our arrivals area and see all of the happy moments... and the one I am posting about today is particularly special.
A family from Liberia were finally able to have their daughters join them in Canada after many years. Ade Kossigbo was forced to leave her home when a civil war was raging in the Western African nation. After fleeing to a United Nations refugee camp in Ghana, Kossigbo made it to Canada. Five years after her arrival, Kossigbo’s husband Victor made it to Canada. This past Saturday, ten years later, the couple’s two girls made it to Winnipeg. Check out the amazing moment in our arrivals area here:
