Our New Terminal: Airport Model Pictures

Hey everyone,

Thursday is my least favorite day of the week. It’s not quite the weekend, but it’s already been a full week so I’m exhausted. Plus I made the mistake of having a chai tea latte around 9:00 last night and I couldn’t get to sleep until almost midnight. So I’m quite yawny today, especially with it being so dark outside. The Weather Channel keeps telling me it’s going to be 15 degrees in the afternoon, and I keep believing them even though their predictions never come true. I’m a sucker I guess.

Despite how dark and rainy it is outside, I did notice on my way into the airport this morning that the new overhead signs are almost ready to go up! The big posts/overhead beams are almost up, despite the rain, and I hear that the signs are going to be hung next week. I will for sure get some pictures of that when it is happening- even if it’s raining! I also did manage to track down some photos of the big beams going up, I’m just waiting on an email full of them so that I can share them with all of you.

With all of these little things happening, it just reminds everyone that the new terminal really isn’t all that far away (and in fact you can see how far away it is with our newly added counter at the top of the screen- pretty cool, I think). In the spirit of that excitement, I have posted some pictures of our 3D model that you can find in the terminal behind Relay and Front Page Sports. These pictures are pretty close up so you can get a real feel for what the new campus is going to look like. I know the pictures are pretty big, but I didn’t want to make them any smaller because I wanted you all to be able to see all the details.

I’ll see you back here tomorrow with the Friday blog!

Love the new airport style. With this new style it should bring in more international air service!Reply

This terminal building will be amazing!!

Any insight of the interior design??

Will there be a viewing area to watch planes takeoff and land?

Will there be a foodcourt, and what about retail?Reply
