WAA's 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Every summer, Winnipeg Airports Authority holds a charity golf tournament in support of the Firefighters' Burn Fund. Always a sold-out event, friends of the airport from all over come out for a great day of golf and to support this important charity.

This year, the charity golf tournament - sponsored by CIBC - takes place earlier in the summer on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. I know, technically it's not summer yet but in Winnipeg, our summer starts as soon as the snow melts! And so far we've had warm summer weather, which we're hoping will continue for the next few months.

Held at Bridge's Golf Course in Starbuck, Manitoba - southwest of Winnipeg - the setting is perfect for the many golfers (well over 100) who make it out every year.

We still have a few spots open, so for those interested in participating you can register online or by downloading our registration form, both of which can be done here. Note that the early bird rate ends one week from today, on Wednesday, May 28th, 2010.

We always take lots of pictures, so look for a post about a month from now showcasing the day's highlights - we have some pretty good golfers come out so I'm sure we'll see some spectacular shots - as well as the speaker's who represent the Firefighters' Burn Fund.
