2010 Commuter Challenge

In 2009, Winnipeg won gold in the Commuter Challenge for highest percentage of participation across Canada. This year, dozens of local businesses will be participating again with an aim to repeat as winners of this nation wide green initiative.

Having recently just started biking to work – 10km makes my legs feel like jelly – myself and other Winnipeg Airports Authority employees will be commuting to work either by transit, bike, walking or carpool from May 30 to June 5, 2010. My goal though is to continue to bike throughout the summer and into the fall. And with this great weather we’re already getting, I can’t see that being a problem!

If you or your business would like to participate in the Commuter Challenge, you can check out their website here at www.resourceconservation.mb.ca/gci/CC/. You can use the poster below to promote the challenge at your office.
