Reminder: Lancaster In Winnipeg For End Of July

A few months ago I blogged about the famous WWII fighting machine - the Avro Lancaster - and its scheduled visit to Winnipeg later this month. That day is now just around the corner, as the plane is set to make an appearance at the Western Canada Aviation Museum (WCAM) starting Friday, July 30 to Monday, August 2.

There were thousands of Canadians who flew in these planes throughout the war, and thousands more who helped build them here at home. This plane is a big part of Canadian aviation history, and with only a couple left in the world that are still flying, this is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

WCAM has updated their website on the Lancaster, providing info on its crew, its place in pop culture and the decorated heroes. Check the website as well for directions, parking, fees and more info on the arrival of this specatular plane.
