Fire Prevention Week At YWG

October 3 – 9 is Fire Prevention Week across Canada, and the fire fighters at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport are on hand from the 3rd to the 6th with valuable information on fire safety.

From fact sheets to safety tips, to information on carbon monoxide and smoke alarms, our fire crew are ready and willing to educate you on how to prevent fires and keep you safe. Also on display are some of the gear our fire fighters wear – including some items from previous years – and children are more than welcome to see up close what a fire fighter looks like when they’re ready to fight a fire.

The table is located on the second level of the air terminal building, right near central screening. A Winnipeg Airports Authority fire fighter will be on hand to answer questions from 10am – 2pm, Monday to Wednesday of this week.

For those interested – or for those who won’t be at the airport this week – below are documents on fire safety.
