WAA At Centrallia

Thursday and Friday of last week, Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA) was present at Centrallia 2010 - a global business-to-business forum consisting of over 500 businesses from around the world. And, as a major gateway to Winnipeg and Manitoba, support was provided to volunteers at the airport to help welcome Centrallia delegates to our Prairie city.

Held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, our booth - pictured below - attracted many delegates who were all excited to learn about the development of our New Air Terminal Building, as well as our overnight, all-cargo acitivity - an important feature to Winnipeg's economy. Plus, our giveaway touques were a huge hit among those who were used to "slightly warmer climates", as one Algerian delegate politely stated.

In all, Centrallia was a fantastic idea and great way to put our city on the global map - while also developing opportunities for local businesses - and WAA was pleased to have been a part of it.
