Team Manitoba Receives Warm Welcome After Win at the Ford World Mens Curling Championship

World Men's Curling Champions, Jeff Stoughton and Team Manitoba returned home from Regina to an airport full of proud fans and supporters.

Stoughton and team beat out Scotland's Tom Brewster 6-5 in the championship game Sunday evening. It is the second time in Stoughton's career to have brought home gold from the World Curling Championship. You make Manitoba proud!

The Air Canada arrivals area at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International airport was full of people waiting to to congratulate skip Jeff Stoughton, third Jon Mead, second Reid Carruthers, lead Steve Gould, alternate Garth Smith and coach Norm Gould.
 

 Since the first world championships in 1959, Canada has won 33 times, including four out of the last five years.
