STARS Open House

Looking for something to do with the whole family this weekend?

STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society) is hosting a public open house this Saturday, May 23, from 11am to 3pm at their base of operation at 155A West Hangar Road.

Once at the event, you’ll get to view inside the helicopter’s cockpit and medical interior, and be treated to a live demonstration of the aircraft taking off and landing. Additionally, you’ll have a chance to tour the Mobile Education Unit and see the human patient simulator.

Members of the local STARS team, including pilots, nurses, doctors, paramedics and their mascot, STARBEAR, will also be on hand to meet and greet visitors.
