Get Ready for Takeoff at the 2016 RCAF Run

Winnipeg Airports Authority is proud to sponsor the 2016 Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Run once again. Proceeds from the RCAF Run support the Soldier On program and the Military Families Fund.
Held at 17 Wing in St. James, the 8th annual RCAF Run offers something for everyone on Sunday, June 5. The RCAF Run's different race categories allow participants to run or walk through the base on distinct paths. Each path offers unique perspectives of Winnipeg Richardson International Airport and the city.
The event is open to all ages and abilities, with several options to choose from:
- Half Marathon – 9:00 a.m.
- Half Marathon 2-Person Relay – 9:00 a.m.
- 10 km Race – 9:30 a.m.
- 5 km Race – 9:45 a.m.
- 3 km Family Fun Run/Walk – 11 a.m.
Looking to challenge yourself? Whether your goal is to do a 5 km race, complete a 10 km race, or work towards a healthy lifestyle, there is still enough time to train and take part in the 2016 RCAF Run. For a head start, check out one of several fitness apps to help you get started, keep you motivated, and be race-ready in eight weeks.
If you’re after the more relaxed approach or are interested in bringing your family, consider the Family Fun Run/Walk. At 3 km, the whole family can walk through the base and see the captivating aircraft on display. There are also many activities and community displays in the Race Village to explore once you cross the finish line.
