All passengers travelling through Winnipeg Richardson International Airport will now see handouts and additional signage to help educate them on COVID-19 and inform them of public health protocols.

The bilingual material reflect the latest travel advisories from Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living, advising against non-essential international travel and encouraging all passengers returning from an international destination including the U.S. to self-isolate and self-monitor for 14 days once they arrive home. Handouts are being distributed to passengers at gates and can also be found in temporary displays in the Departures Hall, Customs Area and Information Booth.

Information sheets from the Public Health Agency of Canada detailing COVID-19 symptoms and protocols have also been put up at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. All of these materials will be updated continuously based on direction from public health authorities

The latest measures are some of the many steps Winnipeg Airports Authority has taken to help educate and inform travellers of COVID-19 as well as limit exposure risks.
