Passenger Rehearsal Program

The Passenger Rehearsal Program provides one-on-one support to passengers with a disability or who require additional support. The program aims to help you get familiar with the travelling experience before your trip.

Winnipeg Richardson International Airport is proud to be the first airport in Canada to offer an ongoing, individualized, and sustained Passenger Rehearsal Program. The goal of the program is to ensure travel is inclusive, approachable, and enjoyable for all passengers moving through YWG.

The guided tour is open for parents or guardians who wish to participate and is designed with our community in mind. YWG strives to limit groups to only those with a confirmed booking and caregivers / guardians to provide a truly individualized experience.

Future travellers are encouraged to use this free service.

Here's how it works:

  1. Prior to travelling, email us to schedule a personalized tour of the airport.
  2. Be sure to indicate how many people will be taking the tour and if you have any specific requests ahead of time.
  3. The designated airport guide will coordinate the tour to mirror your upcoming travel itinerary and best meet your needs.
  4. You'll be guided through the travel process to become familiar with airport procedures. Your guide will answer any questions so you're confident and ready for your trip.
